Parker Bottoms along the White River
Hosted by Judy Maurer, 479-750-3493
Parker Bottoms is off of Hwy 187 (about 10 miles this side of Eureka Springs). There are concrete pathways from the parking lot and along the water so it’s easy walking, shady, and has some nice river views with fishermen, shoal, and canoes.
Take Hwy 62 toward Eureka Springs and turn right onto Hwy 187 toward the dam. Before the dam is a state park sign pointing to Parker Bottoms Campground on the left. It is a sharp backwards left turn. Google Maps show that road as CR 136. Stay on that until it ends at the river.
Lunch: Brown bag (BYO lawn chair) or we can go to the dam site park for a picnic table.
